Stay safe from scams by learning the ways we’ll get in touch with you.

We’re committed to making it easy for you to get the information you need, when you need it. Knowing how we’ll contact you can protect you from scams. Here’s what you need to know. 

Texts  

What to expect: After opting in to receive texts, we’ll send messages from the number 77576. These texts will let you know you have a private message waiting with a link to view it. It will take you to a secure portal to read the message. You may also get texts from unknown numbers with information directly in the text message instead of a link to view.   

Calls  

What to expect: We may reach out about your benefits from time-to-time. Calls may come from an unknown number, and it’s okay to let it go to voicemail. Our representatives will always leave a message letting you know they are calling from Independence Blue Cross. If you are unsure about the call, you can also use the number on the back of your member ID card to reach our Member Help Team.   

Emails  

What to expect: We may send you emails with helpful information about specific health events like getting ready for planned surgeries; staying up-to-date with health screenings and immunizations; accessing benefits; and more. This is a great way for us to get important health information to you in a timely manner. 

Dr. Ramos says: Get Update delivered straight to your inbox! Just opt in to start receiving our emails, and you’ll start getting Update digitally. 

Stay informed  

Visit ibxmedicare.com/connect or scan this QR code to opt in to digital communications. You can update your preferences anytime by logging in to your member site at ibx.com/login. 

By opting in, you’ll receive: 

  • Reminders when you’re due for an appointment, test, or screening
  • Important plan updates, such as any changes to drug coverage or precertification requirements
  • Timely tips on using your benefits, including ways to save on care and access services you may be missing 

Independence Blue Cross offers PPO, HMO-POS, and HMO Medicare Advantage plans with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Independence Blue Cross PPO, HMO-POS, and HMO Medicare Advantage plans depends on contract renewal.
